Equipment Booking

Image
I have created a table of all equipment needed for my short film. I have done this to get a better understanding of the equipment I'll need for the film to help when it comes to filming days. I did this by looking through my shot list and seeing what I will need for each scene. Once I decided what I required I looked through different websites to find what I was looking for. I have decided to hire most equipment where easiest. This should help the final film hold a consistent level of standards/quality.

Contingency Plan

Image
I have put together a contingency plan to prevent any set backs/problems from either occurring or getting out of hand. I've designated all situations with a rank of how likely an event is of happening to prioritise correctly. I planned out different ways of preventing these circumstances to keep the film on track for it's release. This ultimately will result in a film more likely being filled with less inconsistencies and releasing in as a well made production.

Production Schedule

Image
I have compiled together a schedule that spans from January 8th 2024 to 16th February 2024 covering both the production and post-production process. I did this by inserting the tasks I had to complete and corresponding it to an estimated time span going down. This results in the final film having all expected features as I can use this as a reminder of what I need to do that day/week.

Shot List

Image
I have chosen to create a shot list to with planning out scenes and the order for shooting them. I have done this by listing numbered scenes and adding details of where the scene takes place and who/what needs to be there. I followed this up by giving a general description of the scene. By doing this the final film should be more consistent as for when I return to the same location.

Cast and Crew

Image
I have completed tables of information to do with my cast and crew to fully realise what roles needed filling. I did this by asking close friends of mine if they were willing to be in my film as a cast member. Once I had done this I asked them for their information and put it into tables where applicable. This helps the final film have a select cast and everyone can get into character as they have fully decided roles.

Call Sheet

Image
I have constructed a call sheet to have a full understanding of who needs to be where at what times when it comes to filming day. I did this by overlooking a scene a wish to film on that day and filling in the necessary information. This should help the final film release on time as I am more organised and so are the cast and crew.

Location Recce

Image
I have created a location recce to fully examine the factors surrounding where I've chosen to film. To do this I had to research the location and the area around it getting information vital to the filming process. The final film as a result should be more likely to be filmed well as I'm not debating different locations to use.

Budget

Image
I have put together a spreadsheet for a budget for my short film to better grasp how much needs to be spent to successfully produce the film. I used Microsoft Excel as I could use formulas to add up the total and the cells make it easier then making a table on Word. This shall allow the final film to have a balance in quality in regards to cast, editing, and equipment used.

Treatment

Film Treatment   The Production Bog Corbon Hibberd/07926654325 03/02/23   Log line 3 young, aspiring workers attempt to create a film, but with clashing ideals and a director in over his own head, that may prove difficult. Characters I have chosen to not give traditional names to my characters as they will not add to the story but take away from it. The intent to make the audience feel as if they can slip themselves or anyone they know into the place of the characters. By giving them names that outcome becomes less likely. Director-  Casual clothing. He is a lazy, lofty standards man who wishes for everything to go his way. If he wants to he will go through illegal methods to get what he wants. He has known the editor since secondary school and only ever had a good relationship with him. Puts on a kind face when in front of the public. Abuses his workers when ever given the chance. Pitch

My 4–5-minute mockumentary aims to entertain through comedy whilst also educating my audience the struggles of clashing ideas. The film is  targeted  towards teens as they are more likely to be engaged with the genre. The film will be uploaded onto the Jinjasnap Youtube channel as that is where they’re is most likely to view it. The themes used will be teamwork, and overconfidence. 3 young, aspiring workers attempt to create a film, but with clashing ideals and a director in over his own head, that may prove difficult . The characters include; an egotistical, director, an actor who is full of themselves. Finally, there is a grounded editor. None of them are given names to help the audience relate. The film starts with an interview with the director, who believes that the documentary is being made as of rumours that the film is going to do incredible numbers. We find out however, that the editor called them in to expose the director. This is followed by footage that shows...
